Emily Challenor

Choreographer & Administrator

I joined Move It as a teacher in December 2024 and currently teach 17 classes across a wide range of styles, including lyrical, contemporary, cheer dance, cheer stunts, hip-hop, acro, freestyle, pre-school, and private lessons. My favourite style to teach is lyrical as it allows me to blend emotion and technique while helping dancers tell a story through movement.

More about Emily

My dance journey began at the age of 3 training in both ballet and baton, before expanding my training into contemporary, modern, street, and jazz. I was a member of the Mannin Youth Dance Company for three consecutive years and am now part of Team England for baton twirling. I competed at the Dutch Open in Amsterdam in 2024 where I was crowned the Dutch Open champion, and in May 2025 I also became the England National Champion.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Business Management with Law and a master’s degree in Criminology. During university, I joined the cheer and dance teams, competing in jazz, lyrical and both Level 1 and Level 2 stunts as a flyer. My cheer team achieved back-to-back championship titles and my experience there sparked my passion for teaching stunts now.

In April 2025, I had the honour of competing alongside Emma-Louise as the first-ever athletes to represent Team Isle of Man at the ICU World Championships in Florida in the pom doubles division. This was an incredible, history-making experience for the Isle of Man and I am truly grateful for the opportunity be a part of this.
