Aimee Vernon

Choreographer

Hi! I’m Aimee, one of the teachers here at Move It Dance Studios.

I’m a passionate dancer who’s been on the dance floor for over five years, training in everything from Cheer and Modern Jazz to Tap, Ballet, Freestyle and Acro.

Before joining adult cheer, I had never stepped foot inside a dance studio let alone dance! Now I wouldn’t have life any other way! Dance is life!

After 5 years of training in dance myself as a dedicated student, I was given the opportunity to start TA’ing in preschool freestyle and Acro primary which one thing led to another and Great support from Move it, I then followed it through with my BGU foundation stunts and tumble’s qualification of 100% score  and recently passing my IDTA associate freestyle teaching qualification with a distinction! I now teach preschool freestyle, Primary Acro and Cheer beginners.

More about Aimee

You’ll usually find me in the studio juggling about three pairs of dance shoes and an endless supply of love and care! I might as well move in at this point!

I have Completed multiple IDTA dance exams, Acrobatics Arts exam and participated in regional and national competitions, winning awards. I have performed in several local productions at the Gaiety Theatre, Isle of Man.

My favourite dance style is Cheer Pom

Favourite dance memory:

Competing in Disneyland Paris with the best bunch of people and my all time favourite duo partner, Sarah!

What Inspires Me:

Seeing dancers of all ages light up with confidence and joy is what drives me. Whether it’s a tiny tumbler’s first cartwheel or a team bringing home a trophy, those moments of growth and celebration are what I live for. I’m also inspired by the way dance connects people, it’s a universal language that brings us together.

Future Goals:

My goal is to continue growing as a teacher and performer, take on more choreography work, and guide more students to competitive success, while keeping the fun, energy, and community spirit alive in every class.

My Ethos as a Teacher:

I truly believe dance is for everyone no matter your age, background, or experience level. My mission is to create a space where every dancer feels confident, valued, and excited to be in the studio. I love teaching with energy, creativity, and just a sprinkle of sass! You’ll find my classes are all about teamwork, expression, and celebrating the little wins just as much as the big ones.
